Importance of Paying Your Dues in the Martial Arts | Student Training Fees & Responsibilities
In this video I discuss the importance of
students taking care of their responsibilities, monthly dues and training fees.
We live in a world where there are so
many that feel they are entitled and deserve free training. Most of these
individuals do not understand the importance of hard work.
Then you have those who do work hard,
but they do not have any honor, respect, dignity or loyalty to their teacher or
dojo. They will disrespect their sensei and cheat the dojo because they are so self-centered,
egotistical and arrogant that they feel they do not have to take care of their
responsibilities.If they get what they
want, they will hang everyone out to dry just so they can advance.
Years ago, when I decided to teach
martial arts fulltime, I knew that I was never going to be rich.But, I was not doing this to be rich.I was teaching martial arts because I wanted
to help people through the study and training of martial arts. It’s just sad
that in doing so, I have to deal with people who “say” they have honor, when in
fact, they do not…..
This lesson is directly for the
practitioners of the ancient Japanese koryu martial arts of the ninja and
samurai, such as ninjutsu (ninpo) and bujutsu (budo).
