Training In REAL Ninja Combat Tactics | Ninjutsu Martial Arts Techniques (Ninpo) Taijutsu, Jujutsu

In this video, I explain why these ancient ninja combat tactics have to be preserved to the present day.  In a world full of greed, hate, prejudice and violence, I am glad to say we are one of the few schools that still do teach, train and preserve the TRUE ancient ways of the ninja.
.
Taijutsu and swinging around some stick - and learning some 15th century story is not going to save your ass against extreme Violence... That is a fact. The only thing that is going to protect you is skills. You either have these skills or you don't.

Flexibility of the Mind: DO NOT GIVE TOO MUCH | Martial Arts / Self-Defense Training Techniques

In this video, I discuss the importance of understanding the flexibility of the mind.  Too many times people give more energy towards one realm than the other. As martial artist we need to find balance in all realms. It does not matter if it is the physical, mental, emotional or spiritual realm; we need to give it - its proper place and proper energy to be able to see the whole picture clearly, find balance in life, as well as properly defend ourselves and the ones that we love.

Ninja Perception: Understanding Truth in Reality | Ninjutsu Martial Arts Training Techniques (Ninpo)

In this video, I explain what “ninja perception” is, and how to understand the truth within reality. This is a ninja mind control lesson, which helps the practitioners of ninpo better understand how to perceive the same person, place, thing or idea from a different perspective.  Understanding that perception is based off of perspective, and perspective is based off of position, you get a better understanding why people do what they do and what drives them to think as they think.  Getting inside the mind of the target is the skill of the ninja. To be able to gather correct information, you have to be able to think as they think, so you can prepare for what you know they are going to do.  This is a very intricate, deep and advanced technique that I may cover in later videos.

Soke Anshu 2020 Message: Focus On You & Your Martial Arts Training | Ninjutsu, Ninpo, Bujutsu, Budo

In this video, I share some thoughts on training with a few of my students at the Budo Ryu Kai Hombu Dojo in Kansas City. The message was to instill the idea that the students need to focus on themselves and their training. They need to leave the negativity outside. They need to get away from all of the hate that we see all over the media, and take the time to make themselves better through the student of the martial arts.

The Greatest Ninja Night Raid in Japanese History | Ninjutsu Training Techniques (Ninpo)

In this video, I discuss the greatest ninja night raid in Japanese History!  As you all know I am the 21st Soke of the Tomo-ryu Ninja tradition and this historical account comes directly from my tradition!
.
Following the Battle of Okehazama in 1560, Tokugawa employed a group of eighty Kōga ninja, led by Tomo Sukesada. They were tasked to raid an outpost of the Imagawa clan. The account of this assault is given in the Mikawa Go Fudoki, where it was written that Tomo-ryu Kōga ninja infiltrated the castle, set fire to its towers, and killed the castellan along with two hundred of the garrison.

What Does “Anshu” Mean? & What Is A Warrior Name In Japanese Koryu Martial Arts? | Ninjutsu, Ninpo

Many times people ask me why I took the title “Anshu” from Stephen K. Hayes. The facts are; I didn’t. There are many different kanji, all with many different meanings and interpretations.  The kanji that An-shu Stephen K. Hayes uses as a title for his martial arts teachings is not the same kanji for the warrior name “Anshu” that was giving to me from my master.
.
Stephen K. Hayes: “Title” = An-shu means: Custodian of the Spiritual Inn / Enlightened One
Christa Jacobson: “Warrior Name” = Anshu (暗主) means: Dark Master
.
The reality is, many practitioners who study the ancient arts cannot read or write Japanese, so the come up with their own opinions and post incorrect information on the internet.  Hopefully this will clear up the meaning of the “title” of Stephen K Hayes (An-shu) and the warrior name giving to me by my master (Anshu).

Kunoichi (くノ一) The Woman Ninja | Ninjutsu Training Techniques (Ninpo) | Woman's Self-Defense

In this video, I discuss the Kunoichi (くノ一). A kunoichi is a woman practitioner of ninjutsu (ninpo). During the feudal period of Japan, ninja were used as assassins, spies, scouts and messengers. The training of the kunoichi differed slightly from the training given to male ninja, although they had a common core of martial arts training, such as taijutsu, kenjutsu, and ninjutsu. Kunoichi training tended to prioritize traditional female skills.
.
The eighth volume of the Bansenshukai written in 1676 by Fujibayashi Yasutake, describes the art of Kunoichi-no-jutsu (くノ一の術, Ninjutsu of female ninja). This can be translated as "a technique to use a female" and was employed for infiltration purposes. The Bansenshukai compiles the knowledge of various ninja clans from the Iga and Koka regions dedicated to the formation and understanding of ninjutsu. According to this document, the main function of the Kunoichi was espionage, finding functions in enemy residence, to gather knowledge, gain trust and or listen to conversations.
.
The Bansenshukai (萬川集海) translates as “All Rivers Merge into the Sea”, meaning that the Bansenshukai is the ultimate collection of all Iga & Koka Ninjutsu and is regarded by scholars as the Bible of Ninjutsu.
