Here, Soke Anshu is teaching a ninjutsu lesson on the use of makibishi, at the Budo Ryu Kai Hombu Dojo. The term makibishi (撒き菱 or 撒菱) refers to the Japanese version of the caltrop, which is a sharp spiked object that was used in feudal Japan to slow down pursuers and also was used in the defense of samurai fortifications.
The ninja does not force reality. They connect to the natural energy of the universe, and focus their intention to create and manifest change in their reality. - Soke Anshu

The true practitioner learns to move with the unseen currents of the moment, bending circumstances rather than resisting them. For the uninitiated, Taijutsu is technique; for the awakened, it is the occult language of movement. - Soke Anshu
